Ron Rand President & CEO

Ron has over twenty years of experience performing ERP software implementation engagements in the distribution, construction, and service industries. The primary focus of many of these engagements has been system implementation management in the areas of information technology, operations improvement, business process transformation and project management. He has designed comprehensive methodologies and project plans regarding enterprise software system implementation.

Prior to forming The Rand Group LLC, Ron served as partner-in-charge of the technology consulting practice at Hein + Associates LLP focusing on delivering business solutions for the middle market. During his tenure at Hein he grew the practice from one professional staff to fifteen.

Since The Rand Group’s formation in 2003, the firm has experienced a growth rate of 40% year over year expanding in four new markets in addition to the Houston office. The Rand Group has been named the number one Texas-based Microsoft VAR from Accounting Technology, maintained 100% client satisfaction rating and has held a 95% client retention rate. Ron’s vision to help clients do better business with technology has attributed to his and the firm’s success.

Ron is a graduate from the University of Houston with a BS in Accountancy and is a licensed CPA. He is a past President of the International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners Houston Chapter and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Texas Society of CPAs, Microsoft Partner Advisory Council, The University of Houston Advisory Board. Alley Theatre Advisory Board and the Association for Community Broadcasting Advisory Board. Ron has a strong commitment to serving as a business leader in the community and continues to fulfill his part. He is an active participant & supporter of the Houston Humane Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Houston, public television station HoustonPBS (KUHT), Houston Public Radio (KUHF) and Public Radio for North Texas (KERA).
