The upcoming launch of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 and the big release of Dynamics 365 are at the top of everyone’s mind and they were given plenty of face time throughout the entire event.
FYI, NAV 2017 is launching on October 24th, 2016.

Microsoft is framing the improvements in NAV 2017 around 3 key themes:
- Bringing two worlds together with the Office 365 experience and embedded PowerBI
- Enhancing the core application and platform with new setup and configuration
- Creating new opportunities with Cortana Intelligence, Power Apps and Microsoft Flow, Notifications, and Extensions
All of the changes happening in NAV 2017 have been designed to make it easier to get started the first time a user touches the system. The improved Office 365 integration in NAV 2017 is a hot topic right now, from Microsoft Outlook email and calendar tie-ins to Microsoft Excel’s intelligent use of the latest NAV OData feeds. Microsoft also showed the ease with which pre-built Azure Machine Learning models can be hooked into Dynamics NAV (or Dynamics 365) to provide forecasting guidance.
