Sage Intacct keyboard shortcuts for time savings

Who doesn’t love saving time? Boost your efficiency in Sage Intacct with these exclusive keyboard shortcuts, designed to help you save time on data entry, navigation, and date selection, making your workflow smoother and more productive. You may already be using many of these keyboard tricks with other software, but some of the items below are exclusively applicable to Sage Intacct.

Why use keyboard shortcuts in Sage Intacct?

In Sage Intacct, keyboard shortcuts are special keyboard combinations that let you quickly perform actions like saving, canceling, adding, or moving through fields without using the mouse. Sage Intacct keyboard shortcuts are designed to:

  • Speed up data entry by reducing mouse clicks.
  • Improve accuracy by keeping your focus on the keyboard.
  • Standardize navigation across records, transactions, and line-item entry.

Keyboard Shortcuts in Sage Intacct are not just convenience tools, they’re productivity boosters that help finance teams work more efficiently, reduce mistakes, and stay focused on high-value tasks rather than repetitive clicks.

Key benefits of keyboard shortcuts in Sage Intacct

  • Save time
Shortcuts like Alt+S (Save) or Alt+W (Save & New) let you complete tasks instantly without navigating menus. This is especially valuable when entering large volumes of invoices, bills, or journal entries.
  • Reduce errors
By keeping your hands on the keyboard, you avoid mis-clicks or selecting the wrong menu option. This consistency improves accuracy in financial data entry.
  • Streamline workflows
Shortcuts allow smooth transitions between fields (Tab/Shift+Tab) and records, keeping your workflow uninterrupted. For example, Alt+U quickly populates data from the last bill or invoice.
  • Increase productivity
When you’re processing hundreds of transactions, shaving off seconds per entry adds up to hours saved. Teams can handle more work in less time.
  • Consistency across systems
Many shortcuts (like Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+Z) are standard across applications, so users familiar with other software can adapt quickly.
