Rand Group Named on 2014 VAR Stars List

2013AI(HOUSTON, TX) Rand Group has been recognized as one of 100 quality VARS in the field of midmarket financial software services in the country, and the only Microsoft Dynamics-exclusive VAR to make the list from the State of Texas.

Accounting software industry journalist Bob Scott selected the members of 2014 VAR Stars based on a variety of attributes including growth, industry leadership and recognition, and innovation. The list appeared in the recently released winter issue of Bob Scott’s Insights.

“Each year, 100 VAR Stars are picked from the best organizations that market financial software,” said Scott, who has been covering the industry for nearly 25 years. “It is always an honor to recognize those who contribute to the development of our business.”

Companies on the list ranged from those with fewer than a dozen employees and $200,000 in revenue to those with 500 employees and revenues nearing $150-million. The report noted that it wasn’t size or revenue, but “quality” that ultimately determined who made the cut.

“We’re very honored to be on this list,” said Rand Group President and CEO Ron Rand.

“While we pride ourselves in our financial success and growth as a company, what we really aim to do is provide quality to our clients,” Rand said. “So it’s very meaningful to have an industry-watcher like Bob Scott recognize us as among those who deliver on their promise.”

This marks Rand Group’s second award from Bob Scott’s Insights for 2014. Earlier in the year, Rand Group was ranked #25 in Bob Scott’s Insights Top 100 VARs, which recognizes those companies that specialize in the sale and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and accounting software based on annual revenue. The company was also named to the Microsoft Dynamics President’s Club, making Rand Group among the top five per cent of Microsoft Dynamics partners worldwide.
