Network Support Services

Many environments have existing network equipment in place, and need assistance with the maintenance or configuration of their existing equipment. Switches and other physical network devices generally are robust pieces of equipment that can remain in production for many years. Protocols rarely change, and unlike servers and software, their firmware seldom need to be updated to a version that impedes functionality.

However, modern networks are often complex, with several VLANs, and switches that support routing protocols, EtherChannel and trunk groups configured, and so forth. These can be intimidating to configure, and since switches are generally responsible for the backbone of any network, including client access, risking losing client connectivity can make any configuration a daunting task.
