Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015

Dynamics NAV 2015 provides users with easier upgrades, increased integration with other Microsoft offerings like Office 365, and enhanced mobile device support.

What you get from Dynamics NAV 2015

  • Native mobile support for Windows, iPad, and Android, with a consistent experience across all devices.
  • Better upgrade tools make technical upgrades now possible instead of full upgrades. Over the weekend upgrade timelines are one benefit of this. This is encouraging news as upgrading in Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 is currently considered a major pain point due to complexity and cost.
  • Cloud-based Power BI takes more of a front and center role in Dynamics NAV 2015 and along with Office 365 integration which allow users to leverage tools they already use like SharePoint, Excel, and Word to complete tasks more efficiently and display data insights. Additional ‘Word Templates’ add another way for document reporting, providing an alternative to RDLC.
  • Role-tailored home pages include ‘expressive tiles’ that can display any business information contained within NAV. Color coded status bars atop each square can be programmed with various types of logic and used as KPI’s.

All in all, this version solves some major issues over previous versions of Dynamics NAV, while adding additional functionality.
