2026 NACHA operating rules changes impacting Sage 100

Upcoming changes to NACHA operating rules for 2026

Each year, the National Automated Clearinghouse Association (NACHA) releases new rules or changes related to ACH services and/or the requirements related to ACH entries. In a recent release, two rule amendments were announced for next year with an effective date of March 20, 2026. Per NACHA, these changes come as “part of a larger Risk Management package intended to reduce the incidence of successful fraud attempts and improve the recovery of funds after fraud has occurred.”

You can read more about the information released. If your company is currently producing ACH files for either Vendor or Payroll payments, you may need to make changes to your Sage 100 setup.
