Sage Intacct’s General Ledger and Journal reports now provide unprecedented transparency and flexibility:

• Unposted journal entries: Reports can include draft, submitted, partially approved, or declined entries, giving finance teams a clearer picture of the effects on the financial statements.
• Transaction state column: Shows the status of each journal entry for greater visibility into impact on the financial statements.
• No permission updates required: Users with access to the General Ledger and Journal reports can immediately take advantage of these enhancements.

These enhancements support real-time financial visibility and continuous close processes, helping teams make faster, more informed decisions.

Accounts payable workflows in Sage Intacct 2025 R4 now feature more automation, accuracy, and flexibility:

• AI-powered line-level matching: Flags discrepancies between invoices, POs, and receipts, allowing edits or overrides.
• Unique Payment IDs for advances: Improve tracking and reconciliation.
• Multi-vendor filtering: Users can filter AP by multiple vendors or vendor groups, streamlining oversight.
• AP Automation enhancements: Auto-forwarding rules allow invoices to be sent directly to the AP Automation inbox for processing, extract transaction information from email bodies, support new file formats like HEIC, and notify users of bounced emails. Existing users can opt in, and new implementations include these features automatically. By February 2026, all companies will use the new email domain supporting these enhancements.
• 1099 updates: For 1099 reporting, Box 14 from Form 1099-MISC now moves to 1099-NEC Box 3. Vendors, existing transactions, and third-party providers need to be updated to reflect this change.

These AP enhancements reduce errors, save time, and increase confidence in payables processes.

Data management in Sage Intacct is now faster, easier, and less error-prone:

• Import preview and error correction: Users can preview imports and fix errors in real time, reducing manual Excel adjustments.
• Flexible templates: Excel columns can be mapped to Sage Intacct fields or ignored as needed.
• In-preview field updates: Field values can be updated directly in the preview screen, streamlining onboarding and ongoing imports.

These updates reduce errors, save time, and improve data integration efficiency.

The Close Workspace is now generally available:

• Checklist creation and task tracking: Users can create checklists, assign tasks with start and due dates, and track progress with dependencies.
• Task notifications: Task owners receive notifications when tasks are due.
• Draft email generation: Copilot can generate draft emails for variance analysis or other tasks.

This workspace centralizes close activities, improves collaboration, and enhances visibility.

Cash reconciliation is enhanced with a new rule option:

• New matching rules: Allow combining debits and credits on either the bank transaction and/or Sage Intacct for more accurate reconciliation.
• Example use case: For nonprofits, donations with platform fees netted with the total donation can now match accurately between bank statements and Sage Intacct transactions.

User and role management has been improved for easier administration:

• Improved access to roles and permissions: Permissions, roles, groups, and preferences are more conveniently accessed.
• Top-level “Try a Role” feature: Provides a broader, more accurate perspective in role-based environments.

Purchasing workflows now support more complex tax scenarios:

• Default tax schedules: Can be applied at the project, task, and cost type levels, with clear override rules.
• Automatic tax application: Tax schedules are applied automatically to new purchases, including cost code mapping.

These updates simplify tax compliance and improve purchasing accuracy.

Other notable updates include:

• AR statement improvements: Statements options now include showing all transactions, open invoices and credits, or open invoices.
• Automated equity method consolidation: Subsidiaries’ net income rolls up automatically to parent entities.
• Multiple fixed asset creation: Users can create multiple fixed assets from a single transaction line, improving efficiency.
• Partial asset disposal: Allows retiring segments of an asset while maintaining remaining value and depreciation schedules.
