SuiteWorld 2025: NetSuite introduces NetSuite Next

Oracle NetSuite SuiteWorld 2025 was a major moment for the platform and its global community. This year’s conference kicked off with a keynote centered on one major announcement: NetSuite Next. The theme was clear—how your business meets AI.

Oracle, the parent company behind NetSuite, further solidified its position as an industry leader by unveiling this next-generation, collaborative, and adaptive platform.

Called the biggest innovation in the company’s history, NetSuite Next represents a complete rethink of how businesses interact with their NetSuite ERP. Built on Oracle’s modern Redwood Design System, it reimagines the NetSuite experience around intelligence, automation, and natural language. NetSuite Next is designed to be insightful, adaptive, and trustworthy. It helps users make confident decisions and easily engage with AI-powered tools.

A new era with NetSuite Next on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Ask Oracle

At the heart of NetSuite Next is Ask Oracle, a powerful natural language tool that will eventually replace Global Search. It unifies search, navigation, and AI-driven assistance across the ERP platform.

Instead of typing rigid queries or drilling through menus, users can ask questions like “What were my bike tablet sales by month last year?” and get immediate, context-aware visual answers. These insights can then be refined in real-time, making data more relevant and actionable. Ask Oracle can search and analyze the entire NetSuite dataset to provide complete, accurate insights.

Ask Oracle isn’t just a smarter search bar. It’s designed to provide contextual insight and deliver answers based on role, department, and industry. For example, a CFO’s question about purchase orders will surface different insights than a warehouse manager’s. The system provides consistent, transparent, and auditable explanations of where the data comes from.

Smarter data through knowledge integration

A new concept called Knowledge Integration further expands NetSuite’s data universe. Users can now store contracts, policies, and other non-transactional documents directly in the system. These documents are searchable by AI queries, making ERP more intelligent and automated.

For example, when an employee uploads receipts for an expense report, NetSuite can auto-generate the report. The system also checks policy compliance against the latest company guidelines. All insights and actions are based on the customer’s data and governed by existing controls, such as roles and permissions. Large language models extract and validate information from multiple sources, streamlining workflows and improving data accuracy.

This bridges the gap between structured ERP data and real-world business context. It enables the AI to provide deeper, policy-aware insights based on the customer’s data for trustworthy results.

Transparency is built into every layer of the experience. Each AI-generated answer links back to its data sources and includes plain-language explanations and narrative summaries. These are provided within record forms to help users analyze data, spot trends, and understand correlations.

Users always know how and why results were produced. According to NetSuite, this transparency is based on existing roles, permissions, and policies. This is explainable, auditable AI—not a “black box.” The unified data model ensures consistency and trustworthiness across all data sources.

Natural language transaction creation and editing

Beyond reporting, the new interface allows users to create and edit transactions using natural language. By interacting with the system in their own words, the process becomes a natural extension of their workflow. This built-in assistant allows users to search, analyze, and act on data conversationally, making complex tasks easier and more intuitive.

In a live demo, a user created a sales order by simply describing it. NetSuite Next recognized missing customer information, prompted the user for confirmation, and even pre-filled the details. Editing was just as easy, a simple command to apply a discount updated the order immediately.

After editing, the system supported the user in approving key decisions through AI-powered workflows, ensuring both automation and human oversight in transaction approvals. All of this works across desktop and mobile.

Expanding the AI vision across the platform

While NetSuite Next was the main attraction, SuiteWorld also introduced a range of AI-driven innovations that expand automation and intelligence across the ERP platform.

The latest AI capabilities include conversational intelligence, agentic workflows, and natural language features that automate business processes, making them insightful and context-aware.

  • Autonomous Close: Automates the financial close process toward a “zero-day close.” It includes a new Close Manager dashboard and Process Optimization Monitor. With the use of agentic workflows and natural language capabilities, it handles repetitive and complex tasks to increase efficiency.
  • Advanced Predictions: Powered by Oracle’s explainable AutoMLx model, enables users to build multiple forecast scenarios. It helps teams understand the factors driving business outcomes and delivers more actionable insights.
  • Agentic Commerce Protocol: Opens up selling within conversational tools like ChatGPT. Customers can browse, check prices, and complete purchases through AI-powered chat, streamlining commerce operations.
  • Intelligent Payment Automation: Gives finance teams smarter automation through a built-in partnership with Bill (formerly Bill.com). The tool suggests payments based on cash flow and vendor relationships. It then generates and routes payment runs for approval, further automating processes through conversational intelligence and agentic workflows.
  • Intelligent Pricing: Allows companies to create dynamic price lists based on dates, costs, and competitive data. Other highlights include AI-assisted resource scheduling for field service teams. This uses embedded AI and natural language search to optimize assignments and improve operational efficiency.

NetSuite also introduced Analytics Infographics for visual storytelling and board reporting, along with the SuiteCloud Developer Assistant. These capabilities include interactive content, a visual workspace, and collaboration tools that help users analyze data, brainstorm solutions, and trigger workflows intuitively. The Developer Assistant uses natural language to generate, explain, and document code.

Together, these innovations show NetSuite’s vision of an ERP ecosystem where AI is embedded in every process. This includes forecasting, commerce, service, and development workflows. These capabilities are the foundation of the platform’s ongoing innovation.

Building the foundation for intelligent ERP

The broader architecture behind these innovations is built on new capabilities, including the Oracle AI Database. It runs on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), providing a secure and scalable foundation for AI-driven features.

NetSuite Next places AI at the core of business operations by connecting to external AI tools through the AI Connector Service. This enables NetSuite to integrate with leading tools, including ChatGPT and Claude, extending the platform beyond the Oracle ecosystem.

NetSuite Next will be available to North American customers within the next 12 months. New features and functionality will be added automatically, without requiring migration or disrupting existing customizations.
