When an accounting period is closed in NetSuite, the default behavior is that no further posting or edits are permitted for that period. However, there are many legitimate cases where you need to update non-financial fields (for example correcting a memo, updating a custom field, or adjusting a classification) that don’t impact the general ledger (G/L).
