NetSuite Tip of the Month: Review load performance

Waiting for a record to load in NetSuite is not common, but when it does happen it can be frustrating, especially when it disrupts your workflow or slows down day-to-day operations. Long load times can be caused by a variety of issues, and pinpointing the source is key to resolving them efficiently. Thankfully, NetSuite offers a built-in way to diagnose where delays are occurring.

Tip: Review record load performance

If you notice a record in NetSuite is taking longer than usual to load, you can quickly access a hidden Performance Details tool to help diagnose the issue. This feature gives insight into where time is being spent—whether it’s on the server, client, or during data transfer—so you can start troubleshooting more effectively.

How to access performance details:

1. Load the record that is experiencing slow performance.

2. Once the page fully loads, double-click the Oracle NetSuite logo in the top-left corner of the screen.

3. A Performance Details popup will appear, breaking down the time spent in different areas of the page load (e.g., Server, Client, Network).
