Rand Group President & CEO Named Chairman of the Board of Houston Public Media Foundation

HOUSTON, TEXAS – President and CEO of Rand Group, Ron Rand, has been named chairman of the board of the Houston Public Media Foundation following his one-year term as president. He will now serve a two-year term as chairman.

The Houston Public Media Foundation is a non-profit organization that serves to secure the financial future for Houston Public Media, a public media organization comprised of TV 8, News 88.7 and Classical 91.7, serving the Greater Houston area. Rand Group has long supported Houston Public Media through activities such as corporate sponsorship, underwriting and volunteering.

The Houston Public Media Foundation cultivates and engages financial resources to support its mission to expand minds and possibilities with trusted information and quality entertainment. Board members serve as ambassadors for public broadcasting in the community, especially with special fundraising events and activities. The Houston Public Media Foundation board members also make personal financial gifts of support.

Rand Group supports Houston Public Media as an underwriter and uses the available platforms to help promote and support its other community projects, including Houston Symphony,  Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and Alley Theatre.
