Rand Group publishes its 50th Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central app

Rand Group has officially published its 50th app for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Our newest release, the Promotional Pricing app, marks a milestone more than two decades in the making.

Rand Group’s catalog now includes 50 apps designed to address recurring operational challenges in Business Central. Each app adds focused functionality based on needs identified during real implementation and support engagements, reducing the need for businesses to build and maintain one-off customizations.

Built from real projects, not guesswork

Our apps did not start on a whiteboard. They started in the field, where Rand Group consultants have spent more than 20 years implementing and supporting Microsoft business solutions for manufacturers, distributors, construction firms, and service companies. Across those projects, the same requests kept surfacing. Clients needed better container tracking, cleaner item data, smarter forecasting, and tighter vendor contract control.

Rather than rebuild the same customizations project after project, we turned recurring solutions into supported apps. Sales and Operations Planning, EDI 365, Item Attributes, and Vendor Contract Maintenance all trace back to real client engagements, and they are just four examples from the broader catalog.

These solutions address everyday business challenges across landed costs, rebate tracking, compliance, warehouse operations, manufacturing, project management, tax reporting, and other areas of Business Central.

“Every one of these 50 apps started with a real problem brought to us by a client. We never build in a vacuum. That customer-driven approach is what allows each app in our catalog to deliver meaningful results for our customers,” said Adam MacIntosh, Director of Emerging Technology at Rand Group.

What 50 apps means for Business Central users

For Business Central users, a catalog of 50 apps provides access to solutions across finance, compliance, manufacturing, projects, sales, supply chain, warehouse operations, and platform management. Available through Microsoft AppSource, these apps allow organizations to expand Business Central while keeping employees in the system they already use.

For businesses with industry-specific requirements, offerings such as the Food and Beverage Operations Bundle bring related capabilities together within a coordinated solution.

Customers receive more than software alone. Rand Group provides app documentation, onboarding resources, and support from the team responsible for developing and maintaining the solutions. Most apps include a free trial, and all apps receive ongoing upgrades to support compatibility with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
